GENERAL RESOLUTION
  1. We condemn and oppose all the acts of terrorism and intervention committed by the imperialist power and the violation of the UN Charter and other norms of international law, particularly in the case of Iraq and former Yugoslavia.
  2. We oppose and condemn all the imperialist policies and programmes of the World Bank, International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Trade Organization (WTO) that violate national sovereignty, human rights, the right to self-determination of the peoples, individuals and nations, as well as the violation of existing pro-people national and international law.
  3. We demand the cancellation of all illegal, inhuman and imperialist foreign debt.
  4. We urge all the governments for the immediate ratification of the Rome Convention for the Establishment of International Criminal Court (ICC) and also bring imperialist powers before the court for their crimes against human rights and humanity.
  5. We demand that all transnational companies and their crimes be brought under national and international legal and human rights mechanisms and tribunal.
  6. We condemn the gross violation of human rights in Nepal in general, and in the context of Maoist insurgency in particular, and strongly urge the government of Nepal to fully and immediately comply with the provisions of the national constitution; international human rights instruments, Geneva Conventions of 1949 relating to internal armed conflicts which Nepal is a state party, ratify and implement the Additional Protocol II to the Geneva Conventions; release all the political prisoners; make public the whereabouts of those disappeared; bring all human rights violators to justice and initiate a formal dialogue with the CPN (Maoist) for the protection and promotion of human rights during the course of armed conflict.
